SOURCED FROM INTEREST CHECK‘Would artists be able to sell their pieces as prints/other merchandise for personal profit after the zine releases? Basically- do they retain full ownership and rights to the work?’
Yes! Once the zine has been out for a little bit— likely a week or two —you’ll be able to do whatever you’d like with your work, as this isn’t a physical zine or for profit.‘Is there any contributor/page goal set?’
As of right now, we’re waiting until the interest check is closed to decide on that. There are so many interested in creating something (which we're extremely grateful for!), but once we decide, we’ll put it out!‘What general tone are you aiming for in this zine?’
We’re aiming for a more serious tone, but we can make some room for some light-hearted stuff if there’s an interest in it. Ex: Board Games between Daisuke and Anya.‘Is there an age requirement for contributors? Also-portfolio requirements for artists?’
The age requirement is that you need to be at least 17 years old! As we don’t have an art mod yet to decide on requirements, I can’t tell you, but it may be likely that you’ll need to have drawn some Mouthwashing art prior to the zine.‘Would a physical zine also be an option?’
No, unfortunately. I’d like the zine to be free and digital so anyone is able to access it. :]‘Will there be physical merch? Also how dead-dove-y and nsfw are you going to allow entries?’
If there are any artists that wish to put out their own merch for the project, I’m sure somethung could be figured out, but the zine itself will stay free and digital. It’s also planned for the zine’s contents to be pretty similar to those of the game! One thing that won’t be allowed is explicit NSFW—specifically sexual acts, consensual or not, between any of the crew members. Other than that, the content warnings for this zine are: mentions of rape/abuse, blood and gore, character death, forced pregnancy, alcohol abuse.‘Will there be shipping + dead dove?’
Content warnings have already been mentioned, but shipping will not be allowed on this zine.‘Is this going to be about the story and themes of the game or just a typical crack/ shipping zine?’
